I am having problems with modified burnt chips (27SF512).
If I burn a chip with a standard BIN file or copy a standard chip it works.
If I use TP to modify the BIN file (in any way) then save it, program it to a chip, the car will go into "Limp Home mode" 80-90% of the time on startup, the times it goes into limp mode it wont turn off until i cycle the ignition twice. Comes up with error "Memcal Error".
If i emulate with a standard bin file, the car starts and runs fine.
If i emulate with a standard bin file, then make changes while emulating, it works all good. Now (with out saving the file) the car starts 95% of the time on the emulator all good.
If I emulate with a standard BIN file, make changes, *SAVE the file*, the car will go into "Limp" mode 90% of the time on startup, it wont turn off until i cycle the ignition twice.
Emulating, If I start the car on a standard bin file then upload a modified bin to the emulator while the car is running it runs fine, until i turn off the car then i'm back to 90% chance of going into limp mode.
This is on a Commodore V8 with BMZC1766, 16176424, $11
Any help would be MUCH appreciated
