Are you using the latest build of emutility? It could be that your vendor ID is changing between different software packages, which will cause encryption to be enabled/disabled.

That's the latest build. Are you using the latest TunerPro build as well?

The Ostrich supports special encryption that different software can use. The encryption type is based on a special setting that each software package uses. Trying to use a piece of software that doesn't match the encryption setting can cause what you're seeing. However, EmUtility will actually reset the encryption setting, so I'm not sure how this could be the problem. It's just the only explanation that comes to mind immediately.

Can you try TunerPro again, making sure you've downloaded the latest version?
