1228062 BIN file checksum value issue

Post by damanx »

It's been about 3-4 years since I've done any tuning on my project truck.

1228062 ECM $4E
Using a modified ASSB bin.
Using the latest TunerPro RT
Emulating with an Ostrich 2.0

So my issue is that I can't seem to run the Ostrich in place of the EEPROM in the ECM. It seems that something changed, but I don't know what because now when trying to run with the emulator plugged in, I get the quick flashing SES light. Discovered that no matter what I do, I can't get the checksum to change to AA and stay that way.

I load the BIN, double click on the Checksum scalar, change it from whatever value is in it, click on the save button in the checksum popup, save the BIN file, reload the BIN file I just saved and open the checksum only to find that it did not save the AA entry.

I've read through the many "checksum" related threads using the forum search and can't seem to make sense of what is going on.

I've also not found the option in TP to "disable checksum" in any of the settings.

I don't understand how to edit the XDF header if that is what is needed.

Please enlighten me and would be much appreciated!

Attached are the files I am using.

ASSBchecksum.zip is the BIN, ASSB.zip is the XDF
