1995 Impala SS: Address 2016?

Post by SAH62 »

New tuner here!

I'm working on a minor modification to the tune of my 1995 Impala SS while I troubleshoot an intermittent DTC 32 associated with the EGR system. The engine was recently rebuilt, and all of the sensors, vacuum lines, and the EGR valve are new. I haven't modified the PCM tune in the past.

I read the tune using Flashhack and copied the XDF file from http://ecmhack.com/eex-tunerpro-definition/. The value of the "EGR Diagnostic MAP Test Value" was 12 kPa. I changed it from 12 to 11 and saved everything to a new bin file. When I compare the old bin to the new bin I see the change from 12 to 11, but I also see a change at address 2016 ("Item Not Defined") from 33 to 31. I didn't change anything else. Does anyone know what the change at address 2016 represents?

0x2016 is the address of part of the ROM checksum value.
