RVAF1/NUX1 Definition

Post by codedout »

Hey Dex, I have a partial RVAF1 definition, I am trying to find the address to modify the spedometer, I belive it has something to do with tire revs per mile. Do you know anything about this? Also do you want to put what I have up on the site.

I too have a partial xdf for the RVAF1 ecu :) It's got a little bit of work to be done so I've not got it posted but I'll quite happily look at yours to see if there's anything I've not got (and vice versa for you).

I'm not too hot on eec-v strategies and I'm afraid I not too sure what is used to determine speed/distance and what's communicated to the instrument cluster. I think there is a calibration parameter called VS_EGD_MILE that typically has a value of 8000. The 8000 is the number of pulses per mile that the VSS outputs and I believe the VSS is specified to the to suit the gearing of the car. If you've changed the final gear ratio or diameter of the tyres then you'll need to adjust this parameter to suit.
