How to enable simple data tracing with a Quarterhorse?

I have been using Build#5.00.4532.00 for almost 5 years now, with an Ostrich, on my BMW. For data tracing, all I did was emulate, have a good.xdf, and press the little "A" at the top of the map that I wanted to trace. Now I have a ford truck and I have a quarterhorse, and it would appear that data tracing has gotten complicated? Why do I need to set up more than an xdf? If I am emulating, and the pcm asks for data from within an address area that I'm monitoring, why can't that cell be highlighted without me setting something else up? All the information I have on this bin right now is the addresses of the map I want to watch. I just need to see which cell it is idling in and which group of cells are making it run like crap. I just need simple tracing.

For all who stumble across this post... It doesn't work right now. Hopefully they will get a solution soon but, right now, it's broken.
