Motronic M2.7

Post by edkmho »

Hi all expert and guru,

Has anyone tried TunerPro with Motronic M2.7. I am looking to tune a Fiat Punto GT 1.4 (Turbo) with this particular ECU. Hope someone can shed some light in this matter.

Thanks.

Motronic ecus from early 90s for VW are easy. I looked at the VR6 motronic 2.8 bin file and it looks similar to BMW.

However every ECU has its own bin file and XDF file would have to be authored for each bin file, it is not one fits all like nissan ecu

so if it is two bytes, that is 16bit, then you got to know the stock rev limit cutout, 6500 for example then you use basic math to found out calculator of the 16bit data to match the stock rev limit. And this can be put into definition file.

I think the boost control xdf is incomplete. There are 2-3 maps missing and also the ones defined have a few mistakes.
