BPW multiplyer?

Post by HeavyHitter »

Anyone know if the MAP chart values are 0-5V or 0-2.5V when the 2 bar MAP is selected? Need to know if the BPW multiplyer is used for fuel above 2.5V or somehow piggybacks fuel on 0-5V chart.

Thanks,
Wally

What code mask are you asking about specifically?

In $58, the 1 BAR table (F29) is basically 0-2.5V, with the multiplier (F77) using the highest KPA cell (100 KPA) in F29, then crossing to RPM, to get the value, then multiplies by the KPA cell in F77.

$59 is very similar, but has a larger VE table (F29x) and larger multipleir table (F77x). In $59 F77x is almost redundant, since F29x goes from 20 KPA to 300 KPA, instead of having the ceiling of 100 KPA, like $58 has.

I don't recall how it works in $8F, but would imagine it is very similar, just been a while since I've looked at $8F.

Not sure what the mask ID is. Working on what we thought was a mercruiser mefi3 so we used the 3999 definition to download. BPW table went to 60 kPa with resonable numbers then dropped to low numbers so was unsure how the multiplyer worked. Downloaded with the non-mercruiser mefi3 definition and all was good. Thnks for the info.

Engine is running way lean so either we got shipped the wrong injectors or the box fires injectors every 8th tac event. Need to put the scope on it and find out when the injectors are firing.
