Navigating 3D tables

I have always liked the feature of the "realtime" 2D map changes, but I've always wished that I could navigate around the 3D maps by keyboard and make real-time changes without having to click each point, and possibly select groups. I have been doing it by watching the table with "always on top" and navigating around the table while looking at the 3D graph, but doing it this way is editing on the table and therefore not real-time.

Keyboard nav in the 3D graph is on my radar. The difficulty is with graph rotation - when rotating, the keyboard arrow key mapping would need to change. It's not impossible, but sufficiently "hairy" enough that I haven't done it yet.
