Mustang A9L Tuning

Post by desmo01 »

Hi Guys,

I want to help a friend out with his Mustang, it's got a whole slew of mods to it so I'd expect that the stock cal is way out. As such, we're going to take it to the dyno. I'm using TP-RT with the GUFB .xdf file. I'm learning the strategy now, and was wondering if you guys can give me some hints on how to start tuning the thing. For example, do idle parameters x,y,z first then fuelling via parameter ABC or whatever. I've got a lot of experience with 'race' ecu's (Motec, Marelli, etc.) but to say the least, the Ford EEC-IV strategy is a bit more complex!

He's also used a Tweecer to get the idle a bit higher, etc. I can figure out the Tweecer to TP bit...

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!
