What ADS or ADX are you using? Assuming you're running TPI with your 7730, you should be using the $8D definition set.

The standalone Flash & Burn software is a bit older than the one embedded in TunerPro, but they're from the very same codebase, so I wouldn't expect them to function any differently given the same input.

Does the rest of the data you're seeing make sense? e.g. is the reported RPM correct? If you see errors toggling on and off, most likely you're not getting correct data from the vehicle.

What changed between versions is an update from Visual Studio 2012 to Visual Studio 2013, thus introducing a new set of dependencies. The data you included in your post looks like it should be fine. I don't see how it would lead to multiple values per cell, as long as the cell delimiters in the data is consistent.

Unfortunately, TunerPro isn't of much use with this vehicle yet.

If it's USB, it would assume that it would work fine. One thing to try would be to download the trial of TTS Datamaster for your vehicle. If it hooks up, you know your cable is correct, and that would tell us that it's a definition issue on the TunerPro side.

Is it a Bluetooth RDR cable? If so, I have heard of folks having issues with them. If you have access to a serial/USB based cable to verify with, that's the way to go. If you find it works, then you know it's the cable.

What happens if you disconnect and reconnect a few times? Also, can you try the DA3 ADX?

What vehicle, and where did the ADX come from? Lots of things might cause dropped packets, including an error in the ADX, noisy data on the OBD bus, intermittent connection, etc. I can't say for sure.

This indicates that there were packet errors during the logging session. This isn't necessarily a TunerPro bug.

Can you please provide more information on how I should reproduce this? It's safe to say that most of us keep our XDFs in various folders.

Search around these forums on tracing. You'll find that it won't work everywhere, in every table, for every vehicle. It can be rather sensitive to access patterns, speeds, and other things along those lines.

Or, just close and re-open the table after editing the XDF.

There are several ways to do this, given the flexibility outlined in the doc I referenced in my last reply. Send me your XDF and a bin, The address and size of the table, and examples of what the result should look like. I'll take a look when I have some time to spare for it.

If this is for a table, then you would use a table for the auxiliary value instead of a scalar. You can also get the functionality you need using functions. See "General Conversion Editor" in the docs for the list of functions and parameters that you can use in your conversion equations.

Two options follow. More probably exist.

1) reference by address, specify that the data at the address is 1-byte and signed.

2) Create two XDF scalars - one for one byte, and another for the final value that references the first.

Did you try selecting "Byte" as the data type and check the "Signed" check box?
