i don't use DFCO so much for fuel economy gains (though there is some to be found if you drive in the right situations often enough), but i use it more for engine braking to save on the actual brakes.

in the Values section of the ADX editor, what are the Range High and Range Low values set to? perhaps try 0 and 6000?

i changed mine from 0 and 7500 to both 0 and my guage ended up looking like yours did.

offset of 44 and X * 0.0152587890625 should be correct.

and offset of 45 would mix the LSB value of the BPW with the MSB value of the target AFR.

tunerpro isn't the issue. the values reported aren't limited via tunerpro, but rather by the ECM itself.

i'm not 100% familiar with 8D, but those addresses are way outside of the calibration range for 8D.

8D only seems to use a single idle speed vs coolant temp table, it appears to be for idle speed when in anything other than P/N. there is a scalar used to offset idle speed in P/N upwards.

what are you trying to do here?

tune out some idle instability?
see if something is commanding your idle higher/lower than expected?
swap out that value for something else?

if spark advance isn't showing up in the datastream, there's a pretty good chance that the calibration wasn't setup to display it from the factory.

you could have the BIN setup to transmit SA, but you would have to remove another item in the stream to put in place of it.

couple of things to note in this log: your O2 sensor is pretty much dead, hence the DTC13. it should be swinging a lot when in closed loop and it's holding near the 400mV mark at almost all times. with a dead O2, closed loop is pretty much disabled. this may or may not explain the odd status bit. yo...

yeah, that's actually the exact same format that's seen with the OBD1 PCMs, just X * 1 = seconds, with X being the 16 bit value.

the knock counter is acting normally, picking up knock counts during cranking is entirely normal since the knock filter works based off of fast changes to the signal the knock sensor picks up on.

used in closed and open loop.

it's for periods of rapid throttle movement and only takes effect for a very short amount of time.

differential is being used in place of "delta". ssentially how far has the TPS moved since the last time it was checked.

the AutoPROM has a MCU built into it. IIRC, it's an Atmel unit.

anyways, that does all of the data shuffling the i described earlier. the only difference is that the autoprom has autoprom mode and passthough mode.

there was a problem with a similar PCM recently, it had to have it's fuses pulled for a few minutes to clear it's memory, then when the fuses were replaced it started communicating again. you may have the same issue. obviosuly it will clear any stored codes, but it might be what fixes it.

hmm.... that would imply that the PCM isn't responding to the computer/cable/tunerpro.

just make sure you have the correct COM port selected, otherwise you'll run around in circles trying to figure out why it's not working. the correct COM port should only show up when the cable is plugged in.

if you don't see an acquisition button, i'd have to guess you're running V4 not V5.

that would explain why it won't load the XDF either.



by the way, the XDF and BIN are not required for datalogging, only for changing the calibration.
