my appologies, I did not mean to post the same reply/question twice. Not trying to be a smart a**e. Thans for the replies anyway.

so where exately would an absolute dummy look for this

Australian holden commodores, VR,VS,VT. Would I need this also for the earlier VN-VP 160 baud cars? I have made up some ADS. but am having trouble connecting and getting data with tunerpro. Scannerpro will connect with an imported ADS. but gives a lot of false figures.

I understand how the "Payload Offset" is worked out, but how do we calculate or know the number of bytes for the "Payload Size"
