Then I believe the only way it will actually transmit data is through Bluetooth, not the USB. I'm not quite sure what the USB connector is for on that, other than possible firmware upgrades.

Yes. One registration file works on as many computers as you own. This is good for when a computer needs to be replaced. I also register my copy on my PC so that when I'm reviewing logs and bins on my desktop it makes it gets rid of that nag screen. ;)

Yeah, the use of an Ostrich has nothing to do with the data acquisition and the dash. That is entirely to do with the DA and the use of a datalogging cable, such as the ALDL Xtreme from Moates.

The XDF is not contained in the ECM, it is a file that is opened by Tuner Pro to "mask" the bin file and make it easy to read by humans.

Have you set the proper com port for the ALDL cable in Tuner Pro RT?

You have to solve #2 before #1 will be of concern...

The 1990 Beretta with a 3.1 should use $A1 for code and there are XDFs around for that. You have to load the correct XDF, set the com port in preferences and then you can connect.

Are you simply trying to access the file remotely, or are you trying to copy it over to the PC?

1200 may be the lowest setting available. I know I was using a program many moons ago, IIRC it was Scanner Pro, where the lowest setting was the one that worked.

FWIW, Scannerpro, for the most part was integrated with TP RT, with the V5 release, so the same thing should apply here.

Sorry, I was thinking xdl files.

There is no import function for your xml file to xdf. If you had an ecu file that could be imported.

You will have to find out where the parameters are in the bin and build an xdf file from that.
