Re: Categories 256-300
I'm glad to see the categories were expanded! It's a nice improvement, but it's still not quite enough for most A2L/Damos conversions. It's been a while since I looked, but I had an XDF that needed ~1200 categories, another with 1500, and newer ECUs have even more. When there are 10,000+ defined par...

Base Offset (XDF Header) limited to 0x7FFFFFFF
Tuner Pro V5.00.9130.00 - it's not possible to save a base offset higher than 0x7FFFFFFF in the XDF.
For example, I need to enter a (subtracted) base offset of 0xFFE00000. I can enter that when I open the XDF, and it will work, but if I save it, it goes back to 0x7FFFFFFF.

edit: I was mistaken. There was an improvement (it doesn't wrap around and mess up the order like it did before) but it still clips it at 300 categories. The file I have has 1218 categories, so basically it cuts off 1/4 of the maps (or 3/4 of them are in the wrong category). this is pretty frustrati...

Categories - more than 256 causes error when XDF is loaded
So at first I thought it was something I did. I posted something about in the "feature suggestions" here: http://tunerpro.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3837 http://tunerpro.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2756 Now that I look more closely, I think it's a bug. If you create up to 256 categories, it w...

The number of categories supported (the 255 that you mentioned) are unlimited (you're right, they were 255 in earlier builds, but changed a few builds ago). I'll increase the number of editable categories in the UI to 300. Look for this in the next build. of course, if I look somebody asked a simil...

I use the patch feature a lot. It's great for when you have a configuration that requires multiple variables be set to specific values. For example, if you want to delete all Cat functions, you might alter cat heating maps, O2 voltage curves, several constants (on/off), a few error codes, etc. Rathe...

Hard coded 300 category limit causes issues. Expand limit?
I've been working on generating an XDF for a newer BMW computer. I've got it pretty well nailed down except a BIG issue. Currently, TunerPro can only handle 300 categories. The way this ECU is broken down there are about 1,200 functions and 9,000 maps/curves/constants. The best way to organize all t...
