Re: Bosch M3.3.1 506-965 Alpha-N MAF Limp Mode map
Bigger tables are slower to read. M3.3.1 reads first biggest axis values, and makes comparison again and again, until actual values are reached, then it makes interpolation. Fastest way out from table reading is when both axes are maxed out. If ecu goes too busy, it will reset itself. Olafu, I am n...

Bosch M3.3.1 506-965 Alpha-N MAF Limp Mode map
Hi guys, I am looking to see if i can do a Alpha-N tune for my S54 ITB S52 (3.2liters) using the Bosch M3.3.1 506 DME. I am looking at a 965 chip definition and BIN and I see there is a MAF-related limp mode map. This appears to be a transfer function between TPS % and load. Can anyone confirm? If s...

Hi Guys,
Does anybody have a .xdf definition file for a Alfa Romeo M1.7 0 261 203 287 ECU?
These ECU's came in the 164LS V6 24V's.
Chip number is a 1 267 357 623.
Thanks,
Michon

Nice project thedean, and you are right non vanos heads with big cams can rev up to more then 8K actually i did make it rev to 8600 RPM with peak horsepower @ 8100 but i was facing clutch and crank pulley problems due to very small vibrations became dangerous when revving this much. ( that was NA e...

what i am thinking of is wiring the TPS signal to the AMF signal ( with MAF removed ) so the ECU will take the TPS signal as Load ( this is called alpha-N ) then change the MAF table to get the fuel i need. It will be hard to tune first time but its worth it, because no way you can get results with...

Unplugging the Vanos solenoid on 413 makes the ecu go crazy, and in the first place why the hell you need to disable vanos for ? and if the idea is that you only have a non vanos head you will have to change the cam trigger wheel, it is different. Or the best to do is to get yourself a 402 ECU with...

Re: NV head w/ 413
I think ou will need to still have the solenoid logged in, or at least a dummy plug with resistor so the ECU still sees it. That way no check engine and no fault-limp mode. Just set the vans maps to all off, it will not use all the other maps I'm still a noob on the code-side and haven't had much t...

NV Head w/ 413 ECU
Has anyone tried running a nonvanos head with the 413 ecu? What i am saying is will leaving the vanos solenoid unplugged put the ecu in safe mode or will it just only run one timing/fuel map?
Thanks!
Thanks!

The problem is: 1. where to turn off the O2 sensor/Lambda Circuit?Gavin's method was not right, diagnosis tool shows O2 sensor is still at work! 2. Turning off the O2 sensor to tune is the right way to do, but for this situation, After O2 sensor turns back on, the ECU adaption gets in and fix the f...

When you disconnect the O2 sensor, it only keeps the Lambda circuit open, then the ECU will give full fuel all of the time which gives a vrey rich burn. I think I have found problem with mine, I am not sure if I am right, but this is what I think: the origianl ECU is to be run on a 2.5L engine, now...

Enter this in the equation global table under the conversion tab. X/3.1562283 it will convert it to KG/H Thank you. How did you figure this out? Also, it's remarkable how close that number is to Pi. Also, I'm assuming if the Bin is opened in tunerpro that the upper left corner is 0 volts while the ...

Long-time e36 guy, new to 413 tuning.
Hi guys I have owned a few BMW's my last one being a turbo e30 on full standalone and my current one being a OBD1 413 ECU converted s52 e36. With my e30 I converted to standalone and loved being able to tune my car myself. I would love to be able to use the stock 413 ecu to tune my e36 for its curre...
