Password workaround

Post by ATPCR »

I have acquired a BIN file and a XDF file that I have loaded in to TunerPro to use to learn how TunerPro works. A couple of things that I have encountered leads to 2 questions. One, is there a workaround having to do with needing a password? I have tried admin and password among others.
Also, some of the fields of the parameters seem to contain erroneous information.

It appears that just a random number was entered.

The password is there to protect the authors hard work, trying to circumvent it is not acceptable.

The error you are seeing is more probably the result of trying to use the calibration from a different strategy to that of the .xdf or a binary with / without padding that differs from what the .xdf is set up for. If it is indeed an error in the .xdf then contacting the author to get if fixed would be the way to resolve it.

I see. I assume that when I read my PCM with ECU Tools the stock tune won't have a password?

The password protects the .xdf, nothing else.
