ALDL 88 Corvette

Post by Joe »

I purchase a ALDL cable from ALDL cables and am using Tunerpro for the first time.

Press F4 and then I selected Craig Moates A28 data stream, press connect and nothing happens ie it does connect but I can not see any data coming to the dash etc, what have I missed?

If its A28.ds its a textfile you have and you cant read with it.
You open it with notes and its have all values you need
to get when you making a ADS in aldl setup.

You most set the port in tools/preferences/ALDL/Emulation/ALDL&dataloggin/comport.

If it is a textfile look here for a ads you most now your ecm number or
engine number or mask id.

Thanks for the reply! :D

I initial tried the ads file supplied with Tunerpro and have set the port to
com1 and could not get any results. So, I tried the a28.ds file. I also checked the ecm number, however the computer has been replaced and there is no external labeling. So, I am stuck!

Does the dash etc work real time or do you generate an log file that you play back later? Thanks, Joe

Your '88 Vette is 32B. It has a 1227165 ECM in it and operates at 8192 and 160 baud. This means you can use 1227165_6E.ads to communicate with it at high speed, or 1227165_160baud.ads to communicate with it at low speed.
