Ecu not responding to changed ROM data...

Hi Guys,
im not new to tuning but new to ecu tuning
Im trying to tune my BMW M60B40 engine with Bosch 404 ecu.
Tunerpro and Ostrich 2.0 are ready. I read the original ROM and transefed it to Tunerpro, right xdf is loaded. Maps are looking good.
If i copy the original content to the ostrich, the car responds in firing up and working as usual.
BUT i can not make any change to the data. Sure i can make changes in Tunerpro, an upload it to the Ostrich. Everything looks fine regarding the upload.
But the ecu dont react on changes i made
Is there anybody out there helping me on this issue?
ps normally i have to calculate a checksum to get a working ROM data?!
