TunerPro being ripped off by TOAD

Mark Mansur have you noticed that TOAD is including your software in their kit and selling it for profit? You are not the only one but they have even took and copied half of your website and provided it in their own support articles for their users. They have been selling keygens for other software in particular ScanMaster ELM. I would be checking into this if you aren't already aware of it, I am highly disappointed by things like this because I myself am a very fond user of TP. It's not right for these other people to be making money from sells of your product!! TOAD claims to be award winning and the best.

This is my first post on the forum but I am a long time lurker here, I have not found the need to post anything until I found this and it really P****D me off!!

Thanks for the great software and support here guys, this product deserves much more than being ripped off like this and being passed off as someone elses product!

You have been selling software that is not rightfully yours to do so with. In particular Tuner PRO. This is not open sourced software, it may be free for users online but it's not meant for others to sell for profit. You are misdadvertising this software as being your own. Further more you have stolen content off of the tunerpro.net website that is not rightfully yours either. Your support article here: http://www.totalcardiagnostics.com/supp ... pport-list never once credits the fact that it was obtained from Mark Mansur's website, he is not even mentioned nor is the name of his software.

After observing other users who have bought TOAD they mention that you also sell the product ScanMaster-ELM along with a KEYGEN'ed serial number. There is nothing professional about this approach, is anything about your software compilation actually owned by you? (aside from the installer which just covers up the real license/copyright information of the software being installed)

In order to prevent legal issues from being pursued I'd highly enocourage you and your staff to do the following:

1) Cite all software sources contained on the software disc/download so users know before they buy this software what they are getting

2) Stop the false advertising as your product is able to "tune obd2 ecus" . It clearly is not. Editing an ECU MAP is not tuning, it is simply editing. Flashing the bin to the ECU is a whole different thing.

3) State that NONE of the software provided is owned by TOAD

how would you feel if I just hosted a torrent online of your complete software set? Or better yet just take your warez release and repackage it with a different installer and name it something other than TOAD and make my own profits from it? Are you sharing your profits with the actual developers of the software you are in copyright violation of?

Hopefully something will be done about this soon

There's a guy on eBay doing the same thing...

Lot's of them end up at GearHead-EFI.com for help how to make it work and unless they have a receipt for paying TunerPro they get no help.

That sucks! Support the guy people, there's a lot of work into it! Get a license even if you don't need the real time features!

I just posted a RipOffReport about the matter on ripoffreport.com I don't think it has went live yet, so I don't have a link, but in a few hours or a day or so it should be able to be found on the www.ripoffreport.com website.

It would be nice for everyone here to speak up and make a stand to prove this TOAD company is in violation of copyright material and profiting fraudulently from intellectual property of others.

Mark we all appreciate your hard work and it really saddens me to see this happen to people. I think of it as being the same as stealing your wallet straight out of your back pocket. It's really no different. This guy does not deserve to make ANY profits from Mark's work!

I put in the ripoffreport that a class action lawsuit needs to be filed and all customers should be reimbursed money as well as all rightful owners/developers of the software being dispensed by this bogus company.

Hopefully something does happen soon, even if it is just the TOAD company getting shutdown completely and sales being ceased. That would be better than nothing!

I'm stunned !!

As I search for something to play with OBD2, and it appeared TOAD was going to be the ticket, I nearly bought it. Funds being as low as they are the last few years ( and Obamacare promising to make it worse, since my cancellation notice ) I'm hesitating, as it's literally a trade for groceries this week.

If true that it's just a TP rip-off and nothing more, then that's just wrong !

Mark, I do know something about web server configurations.
If you'd like to put a total stop to that kind of linking, it's not that tough.
I'm happy to volunteer to do it for you, assuming you're hosted on an Apache platform of some type ?
