Quick suggestion,
Is there a way you could allow the hex editor (or 2D, 3D advanced displays) to display addresses with an offset?
Entry box for default starting value maybe.
So starting at $8000 or $C000 could make counting/locating items easier.
I'm still screwing up Hex counting finding the ends of bins.
Don't know if you wrote that from scratch or just plugged in something already compiled.
Hex Editor offset

Basically the numbers on the left. So they line up with a chip offset.
Rather than the "viewed" addressing starting at $0000, there could be a way to implement it to see it start at $8000 (for an $8D bin, $C000...)
Even if its just for viewing in the hex editor.
Making the whole thing calculate to an offset address may cause you to do extra work because when the items are selected in the hex editor, the correct item in the list window is selected. they are already defined from a "0" address starting point.
Hope that adds clarity. (If not I'll try again )
