Item finder issue.

Post by Six_Shooter »

When using the "Find any item this size", it will not find anything that is a specified size.

I have tried with V5. 7575, and V5 7686, same result. I get this on both my PC and my laptop.

Other features seem to work.

Also is it possible to set it to find key words, instead of an exact phrase?

I.E I was trying to find a certain parameter, but couldn't recall the exact title, but knew that it had both "boost" and "retard" in the title. It would not find the parameter using those key words, since they were not side by side in the title.

Size searching works for me. You realize that it's in bits, right? E.g. 8 bits for 1 byte, 16 bits for 2 bytes, etc.

I'll consider adding exact match and keyword options. Thanks.

No, I didn't realize it was in bits. :?

It sounds like it does something other than I wanted it to do.

It finds XDF items that have a data (or cell) size matching the size you specify, in bits.

Yeah, that's not what I wanted it to do. lol

I was trying to find any item that had a certain value, to try and figure out why something was happening at a certain time and what might be causing it.
