I dont have a clue! 1991 formula 350 tpi speed density

ALDU1 USB-to-ALDL Converter
CABL1 OBD1-Style ALDL Connector

Tunerpro r/t v4.

plugged in the cable and converter into my usb laptop windows xp, I showed the computer where to find the drivers and they loaded fine.

next i added the tuner pro rt, everything seem to load fine.

Ok so I plugged the cable into my port and bring up the tuner program and nothing happens, i was looking around and saw a connect icon and nothing happened, saw another icon and it did nothing.

So this is where i am lost anyone have set by set instructions so i can at least start reading my computer while the key in on position / car running.

Is there a certain setup for my car or something i am doing wrong. i tried searching many sites and just get lost all thise 730 talk and 8D stuff.!!

You need to now wath vin kode or engine kode you have .
Then finde the datastream you need to loud in the aldl setup.
The aldl need the datastream to read your engine.

yeah once i got com 4 into the options saved, then i went to setup and picked the 730.ads definitions for 90 & 91 L98's. once i did that i picked mode 1 dump request. after that it connected. now i dont know what to do next.

In tools you have aldl/datalogginng,here you can open dash,values,flags/bits,monitors.
They showe you all the values you need to see.

In the setup you can rec the run you did.

test is bascially from full cold start to full warm up
test 3 a few wide open throttle passes.

I dont know what to look for in reading the data, I know my car runs high on hydrocarbons because i just recently failed emissions by double the limit and you can smell the raw gas fumes around the car while ilding and so forth.
