Tunerpro RT question

Post by slrvette »

I am using a ecm from dynamicefi, can anyone tell me if tunerpro rt would work with that ecm for datalogging? I know it has its own datalog program but I'd prefer to use RT if I can.
thanks

From what I've read it sounds like it would, seen I've seen them mentioned together, but have no hands on experience to verify that.

Send Bob at Dynamic EFI an e-mail asking him, he'll tell you for sure.

Thanks and I have. Haven't gotten a clear cut response. he has referred to using a platform from a 89 -92 camaro/firebird VIN E. Haven't found a VIN E

VIN E is a TBI motor, specifically, the 5.0TBI.

IIRC, this defintion has already been made.

thanks guys for your replies.

I thought I was clear with him. I use EBL/Flash with the mulitport upgrade.
Its 84 vette but I've been running the Stealth Ram on it for the past year.

So with tunerpro RT, in order to datalog I'd have to use a defintion from a TBI 5.0 and the .xdf file that was sent to me from Bob?

I've searched and searched through the definition files and don't find any .adx file that matches a 5.0TBI, can someone point me in the right direction to locate it?
thank you

Third forth and fifth one down. I do not know for sure as I have never hade an EBL but doesn't seem right to use a TBI def. Especailly since RBob wasm't specific with which one to use. Good Luck.

I saw those ones to. As of yet I can't get them to work. I've got to do some reading in TP help as to how to open a .ads file first. It wants a .adx.

So far I've tracked a Vin E as a L03 as well. In a thread on TGO he stated that RT and some others will work with ebl and not have any issues. Hopefully I'll figure out this combination to get it to work.

.ads is TP V4

.adx is TPV5

I think in TPV5 you import an .ads from previous versions.

I found definition A083. L03 88-92 F bodies. Loaded it up, got it to record but there is no information there.
After I load it I should be able to click on the blue arrows icon and pull up dashboard and see the information if the key is on ... correct? or did I overlook something in the help topics of RT

Yes that is correct but does not always mean there is data coming through. I can open TunerPro on my desk, not hooked up to anything and connect and get the blue bar at bottom that says connected. The real key to knowing your recording is after connect you go to Aqusesion and click record.

If your not getting data soemtimes I have to restart TP or restart computer with cable plugged in then restart TP then connect, then record.
