BMW 318IS problem

Post by angmar »

Hello I have a bmw 318 model 1994 with Bosch Motronic 1.7 ECU 0261200950, after 20 minutes running the ecu takes high temperature burning hands. The ignition pulse measured with an oscilloscope is 18.5 ms at idle, in the 4 coils and 4 bases of driver transistors.
It may be normal? .
Someone can help me solve this problem or tell me where I may be wrong?
I read the file of the 27C256 eprom checksum is B0F32 will corrrecto? . Sorry, my English is bad.
Thank you very much

Ecus have transistors and drivers, they run hot. As for the chip size I am not shure if 27c256 or 27c512
