From hot wire to hot film with motronic 1.7

Hello every body

I'm from France and i apologise for my bad English

I have a big problem and i vesper found answers to my problems

I decide to change MAF on my BMW 850i
my bmw 850 have built in 1991 with hot wire MAF and i decide to change for Hot film MAF

original Bosch part is : 0 280 211 007 with potentiometer idle

i want to change to : 0 280 218 019 without potentiometer

i have two different eproms (one for each DME )

I think MAF map is the same in each DME

what can i change (and what i must change) in each eprom to change MAF ?

for potentiometer i can make a special electric circuit it's not a problem

have a good day

i wesper my problem is not impossible

1. Both MAF's have to be voltage, not frequency based.
2. If there is no MAF linearisation table in that ECU, you will need to either add one or create a circuit, which will be ADC -> uC -> DAC and convert voltage in the uC.
