GM 3.8L S/C L67

Post by Any_Key »

I own a 1995 Buick Riviera and don't know where to get the BIN and Definition files for the L67 SeriesI.

I don't have a rom burner yet, I'll get one once I'm sure that I can actually edit the binary file.

I'm buying a tuned chip from someone who dosn't need it, so I should be able to comapir the bins once I get a reader, but even then I don't know if a definition file exists yet.

Thanks.

Your car uses mask $5B. I may have a definition for this. I'll contact you offline.

My ECU uses either the 16183247 or 16197428 ECM P/N right? I'll know which one when I get it back from the tranny shop today.
So if I use the 16183247 ftp://ftp.diy-efi.org/pub/gmecm/bin_lib/16183247/ will have my bin
I can't find a file for the 16197428 chip.

I use the A221 Data stream from the ALDLstuff zip regardless of which chip PN I have, right?

And on top of all of that I still need a definition file.

As for a ALDL cable, I have some dumb OBD1.5 system which uses VPW:
Pin # Description
2 Data
5 Ground
16 Power

So I should be able to construct a normal ALDL ECU to Serial cable using this info with no problems right?

If I've got all of this right so fall all I need is a definition and I can go buy the hardware and get started tuning.
Lean is good right? J/K
