Setting M30B35 rev limit

Post by Chipper »

Does anyone know the address of the rev limit code for the BMW M30B35 engine running on a 179 ECU, please?

Thanks,
Maurice.

depends on the chip/file on it. not all files for the same ECU have the same map locations so where the limiter is on one 179 file may not be the same place on a different 179 file even tho they are all for the same engine/ECU.

whats the software number of the file (chip number)? should be something like 1267355705. if u dont know the number of the file and ur using winOLS u can search for it as the ECU and software numbers are in the code. set right side display to ASCII and search for text "7621" and it should come up. the numbers are backwards in the ASCII display so 1267355705 will show up on the right side display as 5075537621. the ECU number is just before the software number. there are some other numbers difectly after the software number also, not sure what theyre for, maybe a for different versions of the same software number or something.

btw, should have posted this in the bosch subforum.
