spark in constants spark in table/function

Post by 89 IROC CONV »

hello, i hoping some can explain this. in constants where it says spark. there is a table or adjustment from 0-255. i pluged in a stock bin made some minor change's to the iac's . never touched the spark tables. and the spark changed from 130 to 124. i have all so seen it change from 130 to 5. there is also a graph you can veiw in the tables/function. my ? is what does the table/function do. and from what does it calculate. how is it changing its self when i never touched the spark tables. it also says when u look at the graph null spark 124 from 130. does null belong in mathmatic's . you also can not change the setting back to say 130. when u save it close the tuner pro rt program . reopen it and its right back to 124. hopefully someone is WILLING to explain its function.

i took a look at some other mask id's and there is no spark null adjustment or what ever that function does. i also noticed the spark advance correction vs coolant goes from 60-100kpa in the $42 xdf im using. and from 40 -0kpa in 747 xdf. these value's are all so different. but the cold spark bias is the same. 60-100 kpa could this be why my engine doesn't run correctly untill im on the gas heavy load no vacuum. dont really get it because i can change those value's in the spark advance correction and it will change the ideal. (timing) at 40 kpa. but it say's 60-100kpa. im going to start my tune all over again using the 747 xdf. one of these days i will get this engine to run correctly. thats no null

Can you be more specific about the scaler or constant that is being changed?

Also, what xdf and bin were you using when this occurred?

well im sure there is more then one $42 file . and that is a problem for newbies like myself .you never know what your going to get . like stuff maped and pushed to go lean . but my finally getting my motor's tune lined out. i put some 80lb injectors in it. so i can run rich .and not have to worrie about melting my 4k investment. i have went though 5 sets of plugs and im still workin on the cruise area's lol. thanks for the old college try shooter. maybe someone easle knows what it does if it does anything at all.

the full name is spark . and in functions spark. that is where it will say null. its doing something because the values change .but the heck if i know what . there is a graph for it in functions address 0000.

Are these "spark" titles spaced to the right about 3 spaces?

FWIW: according to the $42 hack, bytes 0000 and 0001 are the checksum.

it certainly explains why you're seeing the values change.

Yeah, those aren't actually "tunable" values, they are just headings, seperating the lists into sections.
