max airflow vs rpm?

Post by Tim »

What does that table do and how does it work (165 ecm).

This table sets the max MAF reading the computer will use at a given RPM. If you make changes to the airflow such that your engine is taking in more air at a given RPM, you will need to raise the table values.

So is there a maximum value or guidlines for raising it? Meaning, if it was limited for a reason... what do we need to be wary of when we change it? I'm specifically curious for a superram'd 383 vette (7165), but what about in general? Is this the 255gm/sec limit I've hear about?

It's not related to the 255 gms/sec limit of the 165 ecm.

When I put on the Superram, cam, Open lid, K+N, and headers, I hit the limit because the engine was sucking more air at a given rpm than stock. I raised the limits in this table so the ecm could use the actual MAF reading to determine fueling.
