1994 Trans Am GT $EEb cant create a good bin

Post by Sledgehammer007 »

I can read and flash a stock bin to my Trans Am. I am using the latest version of Tunerpro RT and the latest EEb definition file. Every time I try to flash my custom file i get a rapid flashing check engine light with my fans on full blast. When i flash the stock one back everything goes back to normal.

I even just tried making little changes and that dosen't work ether.

I chose the EEb definition file because EE shows 0 for cylinder volume. and EEb shows 717.25

what is the deal here am i missing something

I even tried pulling the battery to reset the computer for 5 min.

Try disabling the checksum (change the 'EE' mask ID byte to 'AA').

I don't really understand what that means. am I looking for the mask ID byte in the hex editor?

I didn't see that in the list of avalible tables.

I gave myself a crash course on hex to find the mask ID but the bin still dosen't work in the car.
