Pedal - Throttle Body Calibration

Post by Mark_Vaughan »

Gen III 5.3 swap in-progress... Relative beginner here... everything so far (in TunerPro) has been done on the bench, disabling VATS, minor changes re: cam, injectors, etc. Now that the engine is in the car, it starts, idles, runs fine, except...

With key on and engine off, at roughly 50% pedal travel, the (drive-by-wire) TB shuts down and I'm apparently going into limp mode. I can easily reset the code (U0107 - Lost Communication with TAC Module) with my scan tool, but I'm struggling to find where to look for pedal/TPS "calibration" settings that might address the problem. Does that exist in TunerPro, or am I looking for the wrong solution?

Beautiful car
I dont have experience with TBW at gen3 but with gen4 it usually means worn out TPS sensor(s) or gas pedal sensor(s)
Check ur signal from both TPS sensors
As far as I remember they copy each other in opposite way (like 0.5 to 4.5 V one channel and from 4.5 to 0.5 second)
And for accelerator pedal they match equation 1:2
one channel is 0.8 -second 0.4 and with depressing pedal it goes up to 4.8V(2.4 for second)
Any spikes in signal or fluctuation (no matter TPS or ACCEL) will get you to SES light and limp home mode
