baud rate for ALDL

Post by VR-4-PLAY »

Just wondering if it would be possible to have the baud rate for ALDL user adjustable?

Most 1G DSMs are at 1953 baud, and i think this is why i cant get the ALDL feature to work on my VR4.

I dont mind testing anything if u want

I second this, I'd love to see the ability to log and tune with one piece of software. I'm not much of a programmer, so I'm unsure of the difficulty involved in implementing 1953 baud, but I'm very sure it would be widely appreciated by the dsm community. If there's anything I can to do help just ask..

Thanks

Yes, the next version supports this directly. For ADS files (currently), you can hand edit the ADS to use the baud rate you desire.

That said, TunerPro will not support your Nissan yet. This is coming in a future

I second this feature, a speed of 7812,5bps would offer many possibilities in italian cars ;-)

Good to know. 7812.5 is an impossible baud rate. If it's converted to RS232, most likely the port will need to be opened up at something a little more round.

Hi Mark,

Yes a round up won't be a problem as soon as windows works fine with these rare speeds.

Hola Mark,

Ruben
