Stock 95 Monte Carlo 3.8. How do I connect?

I cannot connect to 95 Monte Carlo with 3.8l.
Downloaded TunerPro, and have Red Devil River ALDL cable.

All I need to do it read codes for check engine light diagnosis.

Tried opening the program and plugging into the vehicle. could not get it to connect.
What do I need to download off the site and how do open it in Tunerpro?
Is there any proper step by step instructions I can follow on how to work the program?

I went through a few other forums but have not found any instruction.

Please help.
