ostrich 2.0 hit tracing latest version do not work

Post by bernhard »

hittracing don't work with 8369 and ostrich 2.0 / bosch digifant 1.

with 8202 and 8144 it works.

with the 8369 version the ostrich ist recognized, load up/ down a .bin into the ostrich works, too.

but in tracing modus it still remains on
waiting
... but no jumping yellow cursor will appear.

i thought first, this is an hardware bug and i wasted about 10l of e85, until i tried the elder versions  :D

would you please so kind to check it?

with best regards

Thank you for reporting this, Bernhard. I've found and fixed the issue for the next build, due out in a couple of days.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

I'am a bit confused.

Download TunerPro RT says

Current Version: 5.00.8383 - Download (3.45 MB)
Release Date: 4/30/13

but Latest version history says
5.00.8393.00 (General Release) (4/30/14)

I think you stayed up too late coding Mark! :D

Hello,

I also use an Ostrich 2.0 but with a Bosch Motronic on a BMW E30 and I've the same problem with any version of Tuner pro (8369, 8802 or 8144)
I've tried with two different laptop...and no hit tracing (no yellow highlight...), just the "waiting" message:

What is the issue?

Thanks and well done for your work ;)

Different ECUs, and different maps within ECUs, have different access patterns. Some of them are more conducive than others for having their patterns captured by the hardware (and software). Down the road, I may experiment with alternate means of acquiring this data form the hardware, but even so, the Ostrich doesn't see everything.

Hi jok,

I am not anything familiar what you are doing but i'll try help by advising for what i can find.

First of all.. you have different problem than who started this thread because yours simply won't work on any TunerPRO version?

Little thing; Do you have stock bin or are you trying without it?
What ROM chip is used in this ECU? Say what is written top of it for example.

I found this if it helps you.
