95Pontiac Firebird Scanning/Tuning Issue

Hi guys I recently downloaded tunerpro RT. and bought a cable from Red Devil River. My problem is I can scan what exactly is going on with a program called PCMCOMM it will read all the sensors and show everything. But I want to see what the error code is on the car and when I try to hook up tunerpro I get a error saying CABLE NOT FOUND OR FUNCTIONING TESTED BAUD 8192! but when the cable is only plugged into the laptop it says cable found and functioning. Also what am I looking for? I HAVE some more ?'s but this is the start i guess.

what you're experiencing is completely normal.

assuming you have the correct ADX loaded and the right COM port selected, you should be able to scan it.
