VWcrank pickup simulator for test bench

Post by pfcs49 »

I need to simulate a VW crank signal to drive a bench version of the management system for R&D purposes. The signal is a sequence of 60 cycles duration (sine wave) with the last 3 cycles quiet, i.e: 57 cycles then the equivalent of 3 cycles, no voltage. I need to be able to simulate 0-7,000 rpm. I have a function (frequency) generator. It would be helpful if someone could design or point out a design of a processing circuit that could be watching function gen out, and nulling cycles 58-60.
And no-spinning the reluctor wheel with a motor isn't a possibility!
