V5 Wide Band Addition

Post by Rally Smith »

I have a Innovative Motor Sports LC-1 Wide band controller. I have it wired correctly and set it up in T.P. RT V4 like it shows. Now that I have updated to V5 it is not displaying the correct AFR on my dash. Does anyone know how it should be set up in the Definition files in V5? Also I have it connected through my Auto Prom.

Thanks,
coper

I have been chatting with Robert and sent him my ADX file and he said he may have found out what it was and fixed it. I got it back and have yet to update it.

My truck just got sick. It keeps stalling when not under load in D or R. So I am trying to fix that before I went any further. But it won't take much to update the file and check it. So I will see about doing that tomorrow after work and update this thread.

it will be interesting to see if it works.... if so, the changes are dead simple.

Well....the fix that Robert did to my ADX did not cure my problem, unfortunately. (Thanks for the help though Robert). Any one else running this wide band through an Auto Prom and Tuner Pro that has the wide band working correctly?

Thanks,

Are you using the APADC A/D Connector for APU1 cable from Moates?

I don't think so. It just goes from the LM-1 direct to the Autoprom then usb to computer.

Thats right I have an older Auto prom and had to have that cable where the new one has it built in.
I have the LC-1 connected to my Auto Prom with TunerPro and is working fine. I could send you a copy of my adx file if you want to take a look at it.

O.k. sorry I haven't gotten back in a bit.

I looked at the file you sent to me Scott and mine is the same.

I read the info on the link that JP86SS provided and that make some sense to me.
However, I don't know where I need to go to make those changes for the wide band. "1024 and voltage/counts". This may be the ticket. Just a little more guidance on where to make the changes please.

Thanks,

ADX item creation

Post by JP86SS »

Create the ADX "Value" item on the correct offset (word or channel #) with the conversion numbers below.
The ADPAC external channels for the AutoProm are 10 bit so they use 1024 steps for a zero to 5 volt input signal.
Set the size for 16 bit value.
Use 15.04 AFR span/1024 counts = 0.0146875 +7.35
(Actual typed in box is "X*0.0146875 +7.35"
Gives 0-5 volt range of 7.35 to 22.39:1 AFR

WB controller is set for values of 0-5 volt output = 7.35 to 22.39 AFR
your reading will be correct.
