Damn! the automatically change log is a good idea! I've got a number of other things in the queue ahead of this right now, but rest assured I'll work towards something like this! your second suggestion already exists. select an ECU Item from the list and hit F2 (brings up the item editor) ... input ...

Ah... Yes, the rows are opposite of what you see in tunercat ... but the values still match up and *thats* what matters.

Looks fine to me! Could be that the labels are wrong in the ECU itself.

[quote="SBNova"]I tried searching DIY-EFI, Corvetteforum and Third gen. Came up empty handed. Everyone says tunercat is the only one with the ECU file, and thats why they use it. Will tunercats ECU file work with GMECM edit ? Will you ever create the file? Thanks.. I do like your program t...

Yes, this is possible (I believe I replied to this in the mailing list) ...

You wouldn't see it for a bit, though. My next major undertaking is to add graphing. =)

hehe, actually, I already have this implemented. The problem you describe is a result of the table itself scrolling out of the *workspace* area, in which case there is nothing I can do. The solution is to offer the ability to resize the table editor itself, which would in-turn resize the table grid ...

ah, i see what you mean now ... you're asking to make it so that the axis labels themselves do not scroll out of view ...

i'd have to modify the grid control code, but it might be doable.

i dont, in fact, understand what you mean. when viewing in a reduced window, there is no other solution than to use scrollbars. period! you'll you notice that winbin does this too.

Well, I'm developing on XP, which is a similar/identical codebase, so yes, it should work fine on NT, though I haven't formally tested it.

So, if I understand you correctly, you can change it once, but the second time you try to change a cell, it doesn't work?

Hehe, yeah, I wouldn't be able to believe it either, however I cannot repro this in win98 OR winXP ... Are you sure you're opening the same table the second time? Also, after you edit a cell, make sure you click another cell in the table before clicking "save" ... if you don't strange thin...

not quite. unfortunately the grid control (the control that displays the table itself) that i wrote doesnt support multiple selection. i'd have to do some extensive work to implement this. i was thinking of just creating a dialog that allows you to click each cell in the table and add it to a list, ...

this is *very* close to interpolation. its also related to something else i intend to add, which is another table function called something like "fuzz" which will allow you to bring up a dialog and select a region of a table, select the primary cell you wish to edit, and select the cell's ...

hmmm. strange. i cant reproduce this, nor can i see what could cause it. its especially suspicious that you say it doesnt save in the correct format. is there any chance you can open the file it saves out in a text/hex editor and see what it looks like? also, are you sure you're not selecting "...

right, so then the error ends up where the error ends up... ok. this makes it fairly simple.

The hardest part about the whole matter is implementing a method for choosing cells. I'll have to create a separate dialog to do this.

yeah, this will be in the version after next (the next version will be out sunday).

I'm going to place the help field in commented lines with special sytax (maybe a double || delimiter or something like that), this way they don't disrupt any other ECU based editors.

[quote="Robin Handley"]It would be nice if the program allowed block fill with constants, like hex editors provide (to avoid having to use a hex editor as well).

OK. This has been added. I'll work on an interpolation solution in the near future.

[quote="Robin Handley"]I know that you know about this, but, for the record, it would be really nice to be able to see the tables as surfaces, a-la Winbin.

Yup, something I am working on, and with drag support too (a-la tunercat).
