The ALDL cable is for datalogging. You will need either an Ostrich or a Burn 1 (or silimar equipment) to either tune in real time (Ostrich) or burn EEPROMs datalog and re-burn (Burn 1). I recommend the real time emulation route as it is much quicker and you can see changes as they take place. After ...

Ostrich and TPRT.....
One thing I have found and I'm not sure if this is a bug or something I may be missing, so I am posting it here, is that if I try and dowload the bin file from my Ostrich 2.0 to TP RT, ALL scalers and constants have values of 0.000, ALL of them. When I then close that bin or attempt to open a new on...

I have a Willems dual power. So far all I've used mine for is reading, but hopfully that will change within the next couple of days. From what I have read the Willems programmers are more difficult to set-up than other burners/readers, and some people never get thier's going. This is the second one ...

$42 ADS file coolant temp....
I am using the $42 ADS file on a 7747 and most everything seems to work well, and even the few gauges that I have added, like KPA for the map as opposed to voltage. What I have noticed is that everytime we start the truck the coolant starts high, very high at 171 C*, and then once the truck warmsup ...

Well the MAP conversion seems to be good, I'll have to compare it to a gauge at some point though. I believe the TPS % while reading high at closed throttle might just be reading right. Well as correct as a Ford TPS on a GM ECM can, due to a constant that I found in the larger def file, more on that...

In an attempt to learn more, and see the values I can actually use, I am setting up new value tables for my $42 ADS def file. I'm having a hard time with the TPS % setting, but will look at that later, when I get connected to the truck again. What I have working or what seems to work pretty closly t...

Ok, I am armed with TunerPro RT, that has a working ADS file for $42, Grumpy's (RIP) $42 datastream information, and Scanner Pro. Almost enough to make me dangerous... However.... I can not figure out how to translate the data I do have and know works into something that Scanner Pro can use. I have ...

I had the same problem the other day, tested with a couple different test programs. TP RT had the issue. It would at times indicate a valid cable in the test, but when the cable was plugged into the ALDL port, it would lose connection or validity. I would re-tst and be fine, then it failed for a cou...

Mark, just wanted to say that a particular feature you built into TP RT is Teh Roxz0rz!.....
The automatic text file documenting each and every change to a bin while emulating, with a time stamp, value change and where that value is found, simply awesome.

Re: Logs with sound?
Thought about this on my last cruise using TP and SP where I couldn't describe the problem by tapping the throttle several times. (usually what I do) Not sure how big the logs would get but then you could talk to yourself while driving and be able to remember where the issue occurred. 8) Or the abi...

I'm thinking of adding triggers in a future version, where you can specify what value in the ALDL stream should trigger a log start and stop, e.g. MPH is >X then start, <X then stop. You could therefore use an unused A/D input in the ECM to trigger this. Sweet, I take it you would need to add code ...

Idea for trigger v.isitpossible?
I was thinking about this the other day, that when wanting to start a datalog, you will have to reach over and click on the proper icon, which can be difficult at times to do, especially with a smaller screen. Is it possible to have an external trigger, say through the serial or parrallel port to tr...

TPS calc
To convert TPS volt to % I would simply multiply 5V by the desired TPS percentage (/100) to solve for new percent, correct? Something like this: 5x desired TPS % /100=new TPS percentage. [edit] I think I have to make the "5" to a smaller value, due to the usable range being less than 5 and...

I have seen recently a file that can be used to see what happens in datalogging in TP RT, I believe it was a $6E file, but can't seem to find this demo/file. Dumb it down a bit?
I just discovered this forum (Scanner Pro specifically I mean). What exactly is this (Scanner Pro)? Is this what people are using to datalog for Turner Pro (RT)? Is this included on the disc that comes with the Ostrich 2.0? I've read that TP RT comes on the disc. So far I like what I'm seeing about ...
