I just got my socket booster and 6 inch ribbon cable. With 6 inch ribbon cable it works and with 28 inch cable that comes originaly with the emulator it wont work on my nissan Z32 ecu. So eather use short 6 inch ribbon cable or 28 inch cable with socket booster.

Just to let you know you must use 6 inch ribbon emulation cable for ostrich 2.0, the longer one that comes originaly with it causes too much delay and Z32 ecu will not work with it. Or you would need socket booster

so if it is two bytes, that is 16bit, then you got to know the stock rev limit cutout, 6500 for example then you use basic math to found out calculator of the 16bit data to match the stock rev limit. And this can be put into definition file.

I use an Ostrich2 on a KA24E ECU without any problems, and without a socket booster. It uses the same CPU as the RB20DET. maybe it works on that ecu because that ecu uses 200ns speed chip and Z32 and Q45 use 85ns speed chip a much faster, so if the emulator ribbon is too long it would be too slow o...

there is NEVER any comunications between Ostrich emulator and the ecu. All ECU does is READS the binary file from the ostrich2. ostrich emulates, ECU reads. As I said Nissan ECUS need socket booster when using ostrich2

You can't "install" the tunerpro into the ecu. Tunerpro is software that edits the bin file, and then that bin file is uploaded to eprom emulator. Succesful means that bin file from tunerpro was loaded into emulator. Thats it. Not showing that you are connected where? You are not making an...

if you got 179 ecu then load 173 file in it, and then with ostrich2 emulate it, in tunerpro click on tab "emulate ecu", then every time you make a change the tunerpro will automaticly upload it to emulator. There is no checksum on these ecus so that is not a problem.

Because these cars have Throttle sensor potentiometer istead of switch it may be that WOT fuel map is the high part throttle map. This can be figured out with ostrich2 using address watch, you watch the high part throttle map and see if the tracing is still there under high RPM and WOT, if the trace...

However every ECU has its own bin file and XDF file would have to be authored for each bin file, it is not one fits all like nissan ecu

yes new version 5 will have tracing, but ecu reads too many locations on the bin file so it is imposible to trace and find maps, you need to find maps yourself and then just look at that map and look for tracing there.
