Sorry for the confusion. .XDf file for a new application. I've made a file but I do not know how to find all of the scalars, flags, etc. Is there a way to use the CAN Bus OBD data to finish the .XDF file?

From my very limited experience it sounds like the .idx file that you are using is for a different application. I would recommend opening a known .bin and .idx file for that application so that everything makes sense. Make meticulous notes on what all of the map locations are. If possible use WinOLS...

538 views and no one knows how to setup a new .idx file? I have most of the pertinent .bin locations and I have made definitions for many of them. But, a tutorial on how all of the options work would be very helpful to continue and improve my .idx file.

Hello, I have already done with WinOLS manually the complete identification of my motorcycle, remap and tuned, greetings. Hi. I am working on modifying my bin for a KTM Adventure. I have found all of the maps, I think, with WinOLS but I have no idea on how to find the sensor scalars or anything bef...

I think a video would be awesome, Anoldsman. It's so much easier having a visual guide on how to do stuff. Do you have a youtube channel btw? Sorry for the late response. I'll see what I can make up. I've never made a video like this so...it might not be very "professional". :D I'll work ...

I figured it out.

View/Edit XDF Editor
Add Categories
View by Parameter Type
Edit the XDF - Add B or C Category
A will be first in tree, B will be second in tree and C will be third in tree

If anyone needs help with it, just ask. I might make a short video if it's more usefull.

How to organize categories

I want to add "categories" inside of a category. An Example would be: -Fuel -----Mode 1 ---------Gear 1 ---------Gear 2 ---------Gear N -----Mode 2 ---------Gear 1 ---------Gear 2 ---------Gear N -Spark -----Mode 1 ---------Gear 1 ---------Gear 2 ---------Gear N -----Mode 2 ---------Gear 1...

How to make a .idx file for a new application

I am trying to make an .idx file for a 2017 KTM Adventure (Keihin 16 bit CANBUS). I know the locations and axis data for most of the maps. But, I do not know how to make an .idx file from scratch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
