Sounds like you may have had the offset incorrect when you programmed the EPROM, and therefore you were in LHM (Limp Home Mode), in which timing is controlled solely by the dizzy and the module found within. Was your CEL (Check Engine Light) on when the timing wouldn't advance? If you were using an ...

Don't worry about the code 59 stuff, that does not apply to at all. He should have mentioned that this was for specific applications. He may have intended to only post it on code 59, or in reply to code 59 topics, without mentioning it the video, which is confusing to people that are new or rusty. W...

Well if we were to plug in an extra mouse with a scroll wheel, the scroll event (up/down) should be able to change the value by the step value. That would be aw3some for dialing things in! I haven't used it personally, but I believe you can use the up and down keys to increase and decrease values o...

Re: Collection of UI improvements
1. When the data is working, also highlight the cell in the applicable table. ie, RPM/MAP/VE, or Temperature/RPM. This is already possible when data tracing is set-up correctly, and needs to be done as a per table/scaler basis, for set-up. 2. Fix cntl-F so that if the dialog is already up, the curs...

If this is the cable you have: http://www.reddevilriver.com/ALDL_Bluetooth.html
Then I believe the only way it will actually transmit data is through Bluetooth, not the USB. I'm not quite sure what the USB connector is for on that, other than possible firmware upgrades.

Look at the version number in that link, 8383, not 8414.dfddfd2 wrote:The link for the RT version is:

Check your installed versions, they may be 8383.

The conversion pulled from the ADX will not work with the AD conversion of the Arduino. The GM computer is 8 bit, so 256 values, and the raw data is sent in this 8 bit value, that the ADX (and scanners) use the conversion to come up with an actual value. Arduino AD converter is 10 bit, which has 102...

Have you checked fuel pressure? Have you performed a tune up? Have you cleaned the IAC passage/throttle body? Have you filled up at a different station than usual or different grade of fuel? The O2 sensor is a reactive device, not a controlling device, so stop being so focused on it. Yes, the feed b...

Parameter tree jumps
Is it possible to set TP RT V5 so that when a parameter is closed the tree doesn't jump to the last open parameter? There are times when I'm changing or at least looking at related parameters, say scalers, but then close an open scaler and the parameter tree jumps to the last open parameter, say a t...

IIRC, the PCM you are using is a flash type PCM, meaning it gets a new calibration flashed through the ALDL connector, and no way of actually emulating, unless you use a Road Runner from Moates. Providing a PCM service number would help clear up any mystery. After you uncheck the VATS boxes, did you...
