Hey Bill, You sound very well groomed around these trucks. I do beleive grounding is a big issue. I have yet to get the truck back out on the road for a good run so the learn function can kick in. Until I do this I am not in a good position to determine the problem. I am doing some body work ( dump ...

IAC effecting start time

Engine cranks 5 - 6 times when cold. If IAC electrically disconnected starts with 1/4 turn hot or cold. This engine has a rebuilt TB and new IAC motor. What could be the problem? Checked for vacuum leaks, can't find any. Vacuum measured when running, 20 "hg and steady. Any ideas?

95 Chevy cranks excessively before starting

My C3500 will not lite up quickly after sitting ( 24hrs). I installed a new fuel filter, pump, lines and TBI ( rebuilt) This truck has the long fuel pump run time (~20 secs) to ensure vapour lock doesn't occur. I installed a fuel pressure gauge and get 11 psi ( gauge cal. checked). The gauge stays s...

Yes I can hear fuel pump running when key is in "on" position. I monitored voltage at pump when cranking, 10.5 vdc. This is what the battery drops to when cranking. Is this too low? It has a new battery which has a trickle charger continuously connected when in the shop. The voltage is 12....

95 cHEVY 3.5L TBI cranks excessive when left overnight

My 95 C/K 3500 turns over 10 times or more if it has not been started in the last 12 hrs. Before putting key to start position, I wait 5 secs with the key in the on position ( can hear the fuel pump running) and then turn it over. Once it starts the one time it starts quickly and runs very smoothly ...
