A friend asked me if I could look at his ECM on his 1988 Oldsmobile 98. I have an Autoprom and I use it to play with my 1227730. Any idea what i need to do to look at his ECM?

Actually looking at the ECM should yield the part number for the ECM. Looking at the chip or memcal should yield the BCC code. Those two things combined, along with what engine is in it, should give you the info you need to determine the definitions to use.

thanks, I'll attempt to get that. I'm trying to do this for a buddy of mine and I suppose I'm going to have to go look myself.
