Please help me understand M60 V8 404 DME ignition timing
Hello guys,
I'm currently tuning my '95 540i/6, it has a swapped 404 DME (from 484) using a Moates Ostrich 2.0 chip emulator. Using the .xdf and .bin for the 404 from the tunerpro library the car runs.
I understand how to tune the fueling for desired effect (wideband O2 sensor & gauge mounted in the car) what I don't understand is the ignition maps. These figures can't be BTDC crank degrees;
Can someone please help me figure out what I'm looking at and perhaps translate it to actual crankshaft degree btdc ignition timing? Thanks in advance, no pun intended -Mykk

Here is the timing map for my application in crank degrees from a different tuning product called a Miller W.A.R chip. It's a flashable chip that replaces the EPROM and uses the manufacturers proprietary software to modify and load the tunes on the chip.
This is the 92 octane timing map in crank degrees from Miller:
This is my TunerPro .bin from the original post after multiplying by .352:
After looking at the raw ignition timing table I decided to see what happens if I just subtracted 70 degrees from the original data:
The .352 map doesn't look like what an original timing curve what come with from the factory. However the -70 timing curve is pretty close.
