Need Assistance with an M52 turbo build

Post by Jarvisss »

I'm tuning an M52 turbo build and I'm 99% done, but can't shake this issue.

Basically, when the throttle is mashed to WOT, the AFR swings way rich and the engine bogs from overfueling until the turbo is spooled up and can provide airflow to match the fueling. When I pull fueling out of the WOT fueling table, the spoolup AFR is better, but then it is too lean when the turbo is at the desired boost level.

To me this seems to stem from the fact that the WOT has only 1 column, which is not airflow based. If there was some way of changing the WOT fuel table so that it had different load columns like the WOT ignition tables, or just disable the WOT fueling tables and keep fueling in the PT tables which are load based, that would fix it.

Anyone else run into this or have any pointers on fixing it? This is for a drift car, so being able to stab the throttle and not bog is crucial.
