P28 Hit tracing

Hello, i'm having some problems doing tracing , i'm using ostrich 2 emulator and i've bought the aktiv adaptor from grautec ( i know that they work nice in digifant ecu in g40 anda G60, i don't know if the adaptor is specific for this ecu or if it works in other ecus ) . do i need the adx file to do the tracing or it will work only with the adaptor ?
