Import problem

Post by dgholbrook »

I am trying to import a file 1228079.ecu. When I import by selecting XDF/import it works fine. If I try to load by acquisition/load definition file I get an error. The error says Unrecognized encoding (parser does not support UTF-8 language encodings). I am wanting to run a data collection on my 87 IROC Z28 with a LG4 (4 barrel carb) engine. Version TunerProRT 5.0 running on Windows 7.

ECU files are bin definitions, like an XDF. This is why it works when you load it from the XDF import menu.

ECU files have nothing with data acquisition, which is why it fails when you try to import it through the data acq menu.

Thanks. One comment. When I go to import definitions under the data aquizition it gives you the ability to select an ecu file.
