Flash 'N' Burn utility

Post by Six_Shooter »

I am having an issue with the Flash 'N' Burn utility built into Tuner Pro RT V5 build 7774.

The read only chip sizes of 27C32A, 27C128, 27C256 and 27C512.

The 32A, 128 and 256 sizes all give me a:

"Error: Memory range and/or address outside selected EPROM size"

When I use the 27C512 selection (on a 27C32A PROM) it shows a read (progress bar goes from left to right), and I can see the data in the buffer, but repeated at several addresses, which I've seen using other programmers using the same wrong PROM read selection.

I downloaded and installed the standalone F'N'B utility and it works fine, to read the 27C32A PROM, I don't think I have any 27C128/256/512 PROMs to test those settings, but would assume they work fine, just looking at the results.

The SST27SF512 setting worked fine in the TP RT V5 built in F'N'B utility, FWIW.

I just noticed that when trying to save the buffer to file, using the standalone F'N'B utility, that only 1 byte is written to file.

The buffer read looks fine, just not when saving.

Ok, I figured out the saving issue, I needed to set the buffer addressing manually.

I've e done that too! Once you change buffer address, then click on another chip the offsets change but not necessarily correct.
